Aunty Tara Academic Awards
Aunty Tara James
Mrs. Tara Banner James began her educational career from Lahore and graduated from Kinnaird College in 1959. The next degree in education was B.Ed from Karachi University in 1960 and got her gold medal from being the best student. From the same University in 1964 she did MA in English Literature.She began her teaching career from Lahore by serving the Convent of Jesus and Mary from 1961 to 1963. Then moving to Karachi taught in Our Lady of Fatima from 1965 to 1968. In 1969 she was elevated to the post of the Principal, Methodist Trinity Girls High School, where she served till 1973.
Her career in school teaching and administration ended, when God called her into full time Christian work. She resigned from her gazetted Government post and joined PFES in 1973.
She served PFES in various capacities, as a member of Karachi Local Committee, National Board & Executive, then as staff member. Later she worked as Executive Secretary. God used her for bringing many students particularly the girls to Christ. These students are now serving their community and nation in Pakistan and overseas.
During her time, she emphasized on character building of students. She was very sober and patient. She went through lot of crisis during PFES ministry, but she held on to the Lord. During her services with PFES the work extended to every province of the country.

In recognition of the services of Mrs. Tara B. James with PFES as Executive Secretary for 19 long years. The National Board of PFES in association with James family is pleased to announce the establishment of the Aunty Tara Academic Awards.Who May Apply: -
1. Students at Intermediate or equivalent level and Graduates showing excellent performance in their studies.
2. All professional college students such as Medical, Engineering, IT, etc.
3. Students from recognized Bible Colleges and Seminaries.
4. These Students must have a good Academic record.
5. The Institution where He / She is studying must be affiliated with a recognized University, which in turn is recognized by the University Grants Commission.
6. Students who have been the member of PFES Bible Study groups for at least one year.
7. Committed Church going students and talking active part in Church activities.Sources for Fund Raising: -
1. Funds will be raised through donation.
2. Tara Memorial Lectures will be arranged on Local Committee level in different cities.
